Was founded in 1983. There are two halls in the Museum.

     The exhibits of the first present the flora and fauna of the island as well as the main stages of the south-east Sakhalin settling and development.

     The second is used for special displays of Museum's articles and for art, numismatic and other exhibitions, attracting town-dwellers with its hospitable and friendly atmosphere.

     Literary and musical gatherings, meetings with artists have become a good tradition of the Museum.
